1. Who is responsible for your data

This notice covers the Home & Garden website and enquiries sent through its contact channels.
2. What data is processed and why
- Service enquiries: name, email, phone number if provided, number of participants, preferred date and message. We use these to respond and arrange the requested service, on the basis of steps taken at your request before entering into a contract or performance of a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Other questions and complaints: contact details and relevant information, to resolve matters and defend rights, based on our legitimate interest in managing correspondence and disputes (Article 6(1)(f)), or to meet applicable legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c)).
- Website operation and security: hosting and delivery providers may process IP addresses, browser information, requests and access times to deliver the site and prevent abuse. The legitimate interest pursued is the secure operation of the website.
- Embedded Google Maps: loads only after you accept the Google Maps category, on the basis of consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). Google may receive technical data, including your IP address and browser information, and use cookies under its own policies.
Required form fields help us prepare a useful response. Phone number and date are optional. You can contact us directly by email or phone. Do not send personal identification numbers, copies of identity documents, card details or medical information through the enquiry form. We do not use these forms for newsletters, profiling or automated decisions.
3. How the form works
Your entries remain in the open page. The button prepares an email; the form code does not send data to a form server or store it in a website database. If you send the email, your data is processed by your email provider, the Gmail service used for our address and the people authorised to respond.
4. Recipients and external services
Data may be accessed by authorised Home & Garden staff and necessary technical providers: Sites/OpenAI hosting, Cloudflare infrastructure and Google/Gmail for correspondence. Relevant data may be disclosed to authorities, advisers or other recipients only where there is a legal basis and only to the extent necessary.
Google Maps and Booking.com are responsible for data processed through their own services. A link to Booking does not send the contents of your enquiry form. When you open the platform, its own policy applies. See the Google policy, Booking policy, OpenAI policy and Cloudflare policy.
Using international providers may involve processing outside the European Economic Area. Transfers must rely on the applicable GDPR mechanisms, such as an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses and additional safeguards where required. You may ask us for information about relevant safeguards and how to obtain a copy.
5. How long we keep data
Correspondence about enquiries that do not lead to a service contract is deleted 6 months after the last exchange, except where data is needed to meet a legal obligation or handle a complaint or dispute.
Information about contracted services and supporting documents is kept for the periods required by applicable legal obligations. Where there is a complaint or dispute, we keep necessary data until resolution and for the period needed to exercise or defend rights. Platform technical data is managed according to each provider’s purposes and policies.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may withdraw consent without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing. Not all rights apply in the same way to every processing activity; we will explain any legal limitation.
Send requests to homeandgarden.ro@gmail.com. We normally respond within one month. If a lawful extension is necessary, we will inform you within that period of the reason and new deadline. We may request proportionate information to verify your identity.
You may lodge a complaint with ANSPDCP or the competent authority in the country of your habitual residence, workplace or the alleged infringement, and you may bring proceedings before the competent court.
7. The map and policy updates
You can refuse or withdraw consent for the map at any time through Cookie preferences in the footer. Withdrawal removes the map from the page. Your choice and its date are stored in the browser for 180 days. Third-party cookies already installed can be managed in your browser and Google account. See our cookie policy. We update this notice when the site’s features or practices change.
